Key features of this course:
Our English Literature programmes provide opportunities to explore literatures from the 16th to 21st centuries, embracing both mainstream, ‘canonical’ and less familiar, ‘marginal’ texts.
Share your lecturers’ cutting-edge thinking and development in spheres as diverse as Shakespeare in translation, children’s literature, contemporary American poetry and ecocriticism.
Close reading and supported, deep critical engagement with texts and literary theory are designed to immerse and engross you from the outset, with opportunities to specialise in areas of your emerging, individual preoccupations and interests as the course progresses.
